Community Development for Association for Eradication of Poverty
Aug 2024 - May 2025
At the Rachoch Community Center in Las Minas, which serves the Indigenous rural community through education, healthcare, and income-generating initiatives, I contributed to projects aimed at breaking the cycle of multigenerational poverty. I researched and experimented with alternative cooking briquette production, improving efficiency and sustainability, and collaborated on a business plan for a women’s cooperative focused on embroidery and weaving, covering responsibilities, wages, and profit-sharing. Applying project cycle management, business development, and hands-on research, I supported local economic growth, sustainable practices, and food security. Deliverables included a comprehensive business plan for the cooperative, enhancements to the briquette production process, and contributions to establishing an organic farming and food production site at the center, empowering youth and women while fostering long-term community development.

The Empathy Project
Feb 2024 - current
Third Space Collective (3SC) is a community-led project I co-founded to create warm, open spaces where people can come together around the things they care about. Each session is shaped by the interest of one host—anyone can bring an idea, and we work together to turn it into a meaningful gathering. From storytelling circles and shared meals to creative workshops and quiet reflection, no two sessions look the same. What ties them together is a spirit of co-creation, slowness, and genuine connection.
3SC isn’t about big productions or polished outcomes—it’s about showing up, being present, and making space for voices that often go unheard. It’s playful, curious, and grounded in relationships. For me, it’s a living practice in designing for community—not by designing at people, but with them. It’s where I explore what it means to host, to listen, and to build something collectively, one gathering at a time.
